Robert Kocher, P.E.

Robert Kocher, P.E. Welcome

SCI is pleased to welcome Robert Kocher, P.E. to the firm as a Senior Project Manager in our transportation department. He recieved his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Kocher has over 23 years of experience in a variety of disciplines including roadway design, E&S control plans, traffic control plans, and signing and pavement marking.

Welcome Joe Boore

Susquehanna Civil welcomes Joe Boore as a Highway Trafffic Designer in the Transportation Group. Joe gratuated from the York Technical Institute in 2001 with a focus on CADD. He brings 17 years of professional experience in traffic data collection, and highway and traffic design.

Welcome John Maher

Susquehanna Civil is pleased to welcome John Maher as a CADD Technician in the Structures Group. John received his education from Eastern Technical High School, where he focused on the CADD Program; as well as from the Community College of Baltimore County. He brings over nine years of experience in CADD as well as a proficiency in cantilever sign structure inspection and surveying.

SCI welcomes Brian Hair, P.E. as he joins the firm as a Senior Transportation Engineer in our transportation group. Brian has over 25 years of professional experience in highway design, field survey, and construction inspection.  Most notably, his highway design experience includes erosion and sediment pollution control designs, roadway geometry development, and utility coordination. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. He is licensed in PA.

Susquehanna Civil is pleased to announce that Adam Welter, P.E. has joined the firm as Bridge Group Manager, responsible for all bridge and structural design.  Adam has more than 17 years of experience in transportation-related structural engineering, primarily in PA and MD.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Penn State, and an MBA from York College of Pennsylvania.  Adam is registered in PA and has been active in the industry, including serving as Awards Chair for ABCD since 2012.

Crystalann Deardorff promoted to Director of Business Systems

Crystalann Deardorff has been promoted to Director of Business Systems.  Her new role includes the oversight and coordination of all technology and systems used in providing our services (hardware, software, equipment, communications, and security); research and integration of new technologies; and direct supervision of the CADD and IT staff.  She will continue her duties as Associate, Project Manager, and supervisor of the environmental and water resources groups.

Rosanna Smithnosky promoted to Transportation V.P.

Susquehanna Civil is very pleased to announce the promotion of Rosanna Smithnosky, P.E. to Vice President of Transportation.  As part of this promotion, Rosanna is now a member of the Board of Directors and is one of the firm's owners.  We are very excited about this development and look forward to Rosanna's increased influence on the Company's future direction.

Jason Taylor, P.G., EIT has joined SCI

Susquehanna Civil is pleased to announce that Jason Taylor, P.G., EIT has joined the firm as geologist on our geotechnical group.  He brings 15 years of professional experience including serving as Senior Geologist and Project Geologist in areas such as project management, supervising and reviewing geotechnical submissions, developing boring contracts, subsurface exploration plans, geotechnical engineering reports and structure foundation reports for bridges, culverts, roadways, noise walls and signs.  Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Geology with Engineering Geology Focus from Portland State University.  He is licensed in PA.
