Jason Taylor, P.G., EIT has joined SCI

Susquehanna Civil is pleased to announce that Jason Taylor, P.G., EIT has joined the firm as geologist on our geotechnical group.  He brings 15 years of professional experience including serving as Senior Geologist and Project Geologist in areas such as project management, supervising and reviewing geotechnical submissions, developing boring contracts, subsurface exploration plans, geotechnical engineering reports and structure foundation reports for bridges, culverts, roadways, noise walls and signs.  Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Geology with Engineering Geology Focus from Portland State University.  He is licensed in PA.

SCI has added Matthew Watson, EIT

Matthew Watson, EIT has joined Susquehanna Civil as a structural designer.  Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Drexel University and has over 3 years of structural design experience.

SCI Welcomes Edward Kavjian, EIT

SCI Welcomes Edward Kavjian, EIT as structural designer.  Edward holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State University and has 1 year of structural experience.

SCI Welcomes Robert Hart

Susquehanna Civil welcomes Robert Hart as a technician in to the Transportation Group.  Robert brings 20 years of experience, mostly in Civil Design.  He holds Associate Degrees in Technology Studies and in Civil Technology.

SCI Welcomes Thomas Paul

Susquehanna Civil has added Thomas Paul as a Sr. Designer in our highway group.  Tom brings over 39 years of experience, almost all in Transportation.  He holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State.

Announcing: The Susquehanna Civil Benevolence Fund

We would like to announce the formation of the Susquehanna Civil Benevolence Fund.  This Fund is designed to serve two purposes.  The first purpose is to assist Susquehanna Civil employees, their spouses or eligible dependents who are facing financial hardship, legal concerns, or non-financial support needs because of an unexpected, qualified incident.  All determinations of qualification for distributions will be made by an external review committee to alleviate any concern of bias or breach of confidentiality.  Secondly, the fund is designed to allow employees to make contributions, and be able to give back to our community and those in need, while also being able to deduct it on their tax returns as charitable contributions.

Formation of this fund is the culmination of 2 years of research and preparation.  We are more than excited that this has now come to fruition.

SCI Welcomes Jonathan Winger, EIT as a transportation designer.  Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State and brings 5 years of civil site and highway experience in addition to his oversees service.

Doug Westgate re-joins Susquehanna Civil

We are pleased to announce the return of Doug Westgate, PLS to Susquehanna Civil.  Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Survey Engineering from Ferris State University.  He has 5 years of surveying experience in Pennsylvania and Michigan, much of it transportation-related, and he is licensed in PA.

Susquehanna Civil adds Craig Myers

Susquehanna Civil as added Craig Myers as survey party chief.  Craig brings 14 years of surveying experience, 10 of which spent as a party chief.

Lea Nadler to Receive ATHENA award

Lea Nadler, P.E., President of Susquehanna Civil Inc. has been named the 2016 ATHENA award recipient.  The award will be presented at the York County Economic Alliance 2016 Annual Dinner on Fri., April 1 at the Wyndham Garden York.

The prestigious ATHENA Award is administered by ATHENA International, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, developing and honoring women leaders and inspiring women to achieve their full leadership potential- creating balance in leadership worldwide.

The York County ATHENA Award is overseen and presented by the ATHENA Committee of the York County Economic Alliance. Through this program, the Alliance strives to build awareness of and honor the valuable contributions being made by women and men in the York business community.

SCI Welcomes New Environmental Manager

We are happy to announce Stephanie L. Kern has joined Susquehanna Civil as Environmental Manager.  Stephanie brings 16 years of experience on all type of environmental projects including transportation.  Stephanie holds Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Millersville University and a Masters of Environmental Management from Duke University.

SCI Welcomes Denise Jones

SCI Would like to welcome Denise Jones as a Structural Designer.  Denise brings 15 years of experience and holds an Associates Degree from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.

SCI Announces Promotions

Susquehanna Civil is happy to announce several promotions.  Rosanna Smithnosky, P.E. has been promoted to Director of Transportation.  Crystalann Deardorff, P.E., CBSI, and Jeremiah Greenland, P.G. have been promoted to Associates.

Eric Yost Earns Licensure

Eric Yost has received his Professional Land Surveyor license in PA.  Eric is a survey project manager at Susquehanna Civil.  We congratulate Eric Yost, PLS on his achievement.

Exhibit at APC/PennDOT Fall Conference

Susquehanna Civil will be an exhibitor at 2015 APC/PennDOT Fall Conference located at Hershey Lodge and Convention Center Nov. 18-20.  Come visit some of Susquehannna Civil's key staff at booth 107!

Keith Rupp, P.E. has joined the firm

Susquehanna Civil is pleased to announce Keith Rupp, P.E. has joined the firm as Senior Transportation Engineer.  Keith has more than 21 years of experience in highway engineering, primarily in Pennsylvania.  His specialties are design and development of plans in areas including traffic control, detour, right-of-way, signing and pavement marking, along with preparation of H&H reports.  Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State, and is licensed in Pennsylvania.

Susquehanna Civil Welcomes Adam Gladfelter

Susquehanna Civil welcomes Adam Gladfelter in the role of Senior Transportation Designer.  His 9 years of highway design experience include serving as lead designer developing projects from conceptual through final design, in areas such as line and grade, safety review, design field view, pre-PSE and PS&E, and approved construction plan set.  Adam has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Widener University.
