John will be taking on the Executive Vice President role and overseeing all of the Executive Leaders. 

Mr. Yacapsin has over 27 years of experience in transportation engineering and is a highly experienced bridge engineer. He earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (BCE) degree from The Catholic University of America and completed graduate studies in structural engineering at Penn State.

John is a registered professional engineer in in Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Delaware. He is a Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI) and serves as the Chief Bridge Engineer for the company. He is responsible for day to day operation and management of the transportation group for Susquehanna Civil.

John is a member of ASHE and has served as Central PA Chapter President of ACEC and is the former Chair of the Quality Metrics Committee with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He has provided leadership and management on a variety of transportation planning and design projects on the East Coast including those for PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
