Susquehanna Civil Names a New President-Elect

Rosanna Smithnosky, P.E., President Elect

Susquehanna Civil Inc. (SCI) is proud to announce the promotion of Rosanna Smithnosky, PE to the position of President-Elect. Ms. Smithnosky will assume the role  of President in January 2020.

Current President and company founder Lea Nadler, PE believes “it takes a certain mindset to start and grow a company, but an established company requires a different approach to leadership and risk management. Rosanna has that skill set. She’s worked very hard to develop it, and she is ready to lead Susquehanna Civil into its second decade. Also, the talent and experience of the executive team that helped build the company – Marc, John, and Crystalann – will be supporting her. I’m excited to see where they take the firm.”

Ms. Smithnosky brings 26 years of consulting experience in design and project management for PennDOT and PA Turnpike. She joined Susquehanna Civil in 2014 after serving as a Project Manager for a major international engineering firm. In 2016 Rosanna was promoted from Director to Vice President in charge of the Transportation Group and became a firm owner.

Her design work experience encompasses both public and private client projects for highway and site design, and includes project management of small scale rural projects to multi-million dollar federally funded transportation projects.  Ms. Smithnosky’s executive responsibilities span the categories of group management, QA/QC manager, training program leader, operations, financials, risk management, and strategic planning.

Ms. Smithnosky serves on the Susquehanna Civil Board of Directors, the WTS Advisory Board, and both the ACEC PA Board of Directors and the Quality Committee. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and has been a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania for twenty-two years.

From the President-Elect:

“I am honored to accept this Presidency role to continue strengthening SCI’s client relationships and services. I look forward to continuing the development of a company that provides opportunities for women and for our family of employees. Lea Nadler’s unique vision to create a client focused company that supports opportunity for all has, and will continue to inspire me in the years ahead.”
